Marco Mizzau

Marco Mizzau is Chairman of Blacktrace.

He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Consip, the Italian government’s national procurement platform and one of the largest public purchasing systems in Europe, where he led the transformation of the organisation’s operating model and digital procurement infrastructure.

Earlier, he was Director General of Inarcassa, one of Italy’s largest institutional investors, overseeing the strategic management and modernisation of its operational model and institutional investment framework.

He spent nearly a decade in international advisory firms including KPMG, EY and Accenture, working as Senior Manager on strategic transformation, financial restructuring and digital innovation programmes for large corporate groups across energy, utilities and infrastructure in Europe, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East.

He began his career at Ferrovie dello Stato, contributing to the industrial restructuring and privatisation processes that reshaped the Italian railway group in the early 2000s.

He currently advises private equity funds, institutional investors and industrial companies on strategy, governance, capital alignment and complex transformation initiatives across infrastructure, industrial manufacturing and technology-enabled platforms.

He works with investors, boards and leadership teams across Europe on high-impact strategic and capital allocation decisions.
